The Art of Love
Images for the Bedroom
with Good Feng Shui
Publisher, The Red Lotus Letter
There's lots of information about feng shui for romance and relationships, but not as much about the art of love. The "art" of love represents the actual images that you have in your bedroom and that convey a particular message about your feelings for your spouse or partner, or feelings for each other.
Art subtlely sends messages to you and your loved one about your relationship, your feelings, and your life together. What does the art or images in your bedroom say about your relationship? Plenty. It can say that you are "alone" in your relationship. It might say that a hobby is more important or views of a field are what matter in your relationship.
Worse still it says "other people" are in your bedroom. Too many marital or couples bedrooms have other people in the bedroom with them in the form of pictures. What kind of a turn-on can it be to have everyone in your family staring at you? For instance, a wall of kid's pictures might say that the kids are in the middle of your relationship. If this is so, then it needs to be corrected.
By the way, most bedrooms have it wrong: the kids pictures should be out of the parent's bedroom and the parents' pictures should be in the kid's bedrooms! Who wants junior looking at mom and dad when they're trying to be intimate -- or even your great aunt Sarah? Instead, put up your honeymoon, vacation, or wedding pictures in your bedroom and take down the pictures of the children. Anything that represents your "coupleness" is the right thing to include in your bedroom.
Now, if you are looking to decorate, consider adding artwork that will stimulate your love life -- maybe even start one if you're single or save it if you're in a passionless marriage? Here are some suggestions to get you started.
Ducks attract love and fidelity
Ducks are powerful symbols of love. Use an image of a pair of ducks to infuse more love into your marriage -- or to attract love to you.
Geese protect and inspire long-lasting happiness
Geese are the greatest symbols of fidlity and of marriages that last a lifetime.
Display them in your bedroom for an enhanced marital bond.
Peonies attract love if you are single
The peony has long been a symbol of youthful love and attraction.
Red peonies are believed to bringsuitable mates and suitors to a single woman's life.
Display these in the living room. Married couples should not display peonies as
they can stimulate infidelity and a man's attraction to younger women.
Butterflies represent undying love
The butterly is tied to a famous story of a young couple that were separated by their
parents but were together upon their death, and as such, have come to be regarded as symbols of eternal love.
A full moon for romance
Even in western thought, the full moon is considered very romantic. Display the full
moon to inspire greater romantic love -- a nice way to influence that unromantic
man in your life and get him to think a little more about "wine and roses"!
Sensual images are perfect in the bedroom -- and they inspire romance
Images that speak to sensual love are perfect in a marital or couples' bedroom. If you
want to perk up a stale love life, add pictures with a sensual theme. Even if you are
single, images of a couple together --especially when displayed in the southwest corner of your bedroom or living room, can help attract someone to you.
Couples reinforce romance, togetherness, and tenderness
Keep images in your bedroom of couples embracing or being together to keep your
"coupleness" alive.
